Commercial Real Estate Analyst

POSITION TITLE: Real Estate Analyst



SUMMARY: Our client, a highly sophisticated, international real estate investor and operator of diversified assets, is currently recruiting for the position of Real Estate Analyst for its US operations. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of work experience in supporting real estate acquisitions and asset management. She/he will be an extremely motivated, entrepreneurial and a self-starter, with exceptional analytical and communication skills. The overall objective for the US Group is to increase portfolio value by driving income growth, maximizing cash, operating efficiency and overall value at the asset level.

REQUISITE SKILLS:



Responsibilities



Acquisitions

· Create complex cash flow and JV/waterfall models using Argus and Excel that show both property and partner level returns

· Perform market research and compile economic, demographic and rent & sales comparables data

· Source potential acquisitions by developing a network of brokers and property owners

· Develop investment memorandums for investment committee and co-investors

· Assist in the due diligence process of new acquisitions, dispositions and onboarding of new assets



Asset Management

· Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the asset management operation

· Work with leasing team and attorneys to negotiate leases and amendments

· Review weekly and monthly property management leasing and financial reports

· Participate in discussions with the on-site property management teams regarding operations and capital needs. Coordinate ad-hoc requests

· Analyze investment decisions for leasing, financing, buy/sell scenarios including preparation of cash flow models, sensitivity tables, property valuations, and joint venture structuring

· Participate in the property budget and strategic plan process

· Provide on-going portfolio level reports

· Analyze economic, legal, political and market conditions within assigned areas



Qualifications

· Bachelors degree in real estate, finance, economics or other business discipline

· 1-2 years of experience in an analytical capacity for a commercial real estate company

· Argus experience (DCF required, Enterprise a plus)

· Advanced Excel capabilities (building and proofing financial models)

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Motivated and results-driven with strong work ethic
