Family Office seeks Director to handle day-to-day activities, enhance assets/investments and protect family interests including operating businesses. The Director should have respect for the family, shared values, and a desire to fulfill their goals/objectives while maintaining their principles, philanthropic interests, legacy and financial security. The Director will report directly to family leaders and work closely with the corporate CFO and family‚s bankers, personal investment advisors, legal and other outside business advisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide financial planning counsel, accounting/business advice, and risk management; assist with implementation/changes to estate planning and outside accounting firm with tax return preparation; research/coordinate investment opportunities; manage bank transactions and legal issues as needed; monitor trusts
Monitor transactions related to trusts/partnerships, real estate/financial investments/other entities to ensure safekeeping of assets, good legal standing and adherence to governing guidelines/restrictions
Identify solutions to questions/issues related to legal/tax/investment/trust/personal business/insurance related matters
Research/manage personal and business-related projects as needed
Prepare concise/informative financial reports on daily/monthly/quarterly/annual basis
Assess outside business/investment opportunities presented for consideration
Manage alternative/complementary income: investment income, interest rate leverage, asset appreciation, insurance rate management, retirement benefit optimization
Streamline existing procedures as appropriate
Oversee coordination/support of health/wellness team for specific health needs
Maintain household HR records and coordinate miscellaneous household activities
Sit on investment committee of family-owned investment management company; act as short-term back-up to corporate CFO

REQUIREMENTS
10+ years financial/legal/investment experience; prior family office experience desired
Bachelor‚s degree in accounting/finance; J.D. and CPA preferred
Knowledgeable about investments/taxes/real estate/estate planning/trust administration
Strong communication skills; experience handling confidential information; ability to implement best practices for high performance family office
Proven ability to work/communicate with diverse stakeholders inclusive of family members/company leadership/household staff/external advisors
Commitment/loyalty to the mission/values/vision of the family; highest degree of integrity/honesty/discretion
High energy self-starter with high initiative/resourcefulness; sense of ownership/perseverance to achieve desired goals; patient/personable/flexible; mature/self-confident/hands-on collaborator; consensus-builder with good judgment/appropriate level of decisiveness
Ability to be a trusted advisor to the family, helping guide/support strategy and direction
