Creative Director

The Creative Director is responsible for developing, planning, and executing all Companys workwear collections and categories.

â˘Develop, direct & merchandise product categories assigned & product line building activities
â˘Interpret fashion vision and trends into successful product lines
â˘Identify trends and build an assortment by pattern and color for each season
â˘Properly merchandise a line by color, texture, and pattern
â˘Manage the Design team on finalizing specs, samples, costing once styles have been adopted for production
â˘Communicate brand and/or market needs to Designer for specific product categories
â˘Issue product requirements including initial margin goals to executive team
â˘Communicate & interact with suppliers and factories to develop samples and maintain product categories. Prepare tech packs for factories
â˘Work with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of samples, catalogs, and communications for the season, trade shows, and e-commerce sites
â˘Understand all targeted consumer groups and retail distribution
â˘Own and manage the calendar workflow to ensure timely completion of all seasonal development milestones and crucial presentations
â˘Responsible for controlling sample budget for their area of responsibility
â˘Analyze past figures/trends to anticipate future product needs for core assortments and one off product opportunities
â˘Other responsibilities requested by management

â˘Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Design and/or Merchandising or equivalent degree/experience
â˘Experience with value priced, mass market distribution and wholesale.
â˘5+ years' experience in development of consumer products preferably relating to workwear
â˘Experience in workwear a plus
â˘Technical knowledge as it relates to raw materials and finished goods manufacturing, product costing
â˘Supervisory experience and/or leadership skills
â˘Interpersonal, analytical and creative writing/communicating and organizational skills
â˘Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and other Office Products, Adobe Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop a plus
â˘Knowledge of Product Development Cycle Management
â˘Ability to organize work activities with attention to detail and good follow-through skills
â˘Available to travel domestically and internationally 1-2 times a year
