MANAGING DIRECTOR OF C.A.R.E. PROGRAM
JCCGCIs Career and Related Experience (CARE) program provides work experience assignments for Cash Assistance recipients, funded by the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) as well as summer internship opportunities for young adults 16-22 as part of the Ladders for Leaders (LFL) initiative funded by Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). Under the leadership of JCCGCIs Executive Director, the Director of CARE will be responsible for the day-to-day management of program activities/deliverables, develop and monitor the implementation of new initiatives and hire/manage a staff of 20. He/she will liaise between external partners such as HRA, DYCD, worksites and JCCGCI to ensure that all work activity, recordkeeping and data reporting requirements are met, as stipulated by the contracts.
JCCGCI: Managing Director of CARE, LFL (F/T)
Work Schedule: Mon- Fri, 35 hours per week; with extended hours as needed to fulfill any program requirements. Flexibility to travel to all three CARE sites: Brooklyn, Manhattan and Bronx.
Reports to JCCGCIs Executive Director
Direct Reports : Program Manager - Ladders for Leaders, and CARE Senior Leadership Team
Compliance
Ensures program compliance with all HRA, DYCD, and NYS Department of Labor requirements.
Responsible for audit preparation, quarterly reports, coordination and corrective action plans when
Interacts with funding sources and assures their satisfaction during site visits and
Program Management
Responsible for continued program development, implementation and sustainability through:
Researching public policies that may impact funding or provide opportunities for resource development.
Providing results-driven management of contract performance and outcomes.
Streamlining all policies and processes as needed to promote optimal efficiency and scalability.
Create and maintain strategic partnerships with citywide nonprofit, government, universities and private sector organizations to ensure that adequate worksites are established and milestones are
Oversee workforce development staff to ensure that employment and training curriculum is followed and the program achieves desired
Liaise with fiscal staff to monitor budget and regulate program
Negotiate work plans and budgets with the CARE/LFLs funding
Prepare funding applications/proposals, narratives, statistical reports and presentations for funding
Represent JCCGCI at meetings and
Spearhead special projects and other tasks at the discretion of JCCGCI's Executive Director
Personnel management
Recruit, hire and train program staff for CARE and LFL.

Requirements:
Superior analytical skills. Expertise in workforce and business development, with knowledge of evidenced-based practices, in assessment and evaluation. Familiar with full engagement welfare policies and the community service (volunteer) models.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Social Services or equivalent experience, required. Masters degree in Public or Business Administration or related field preferred.
7+ years experience in a senior program management
Knowledge of data management systems and data analytics
Interpersonally astute with the ability to build and maintain relationships with staff, public officials, and private funding
Ability to drive results and manage ambiguity while addressing complex
Effective interpersonal, oral, written, and verbal
Ability to manage up and across functional teams.
Must be proficient in MS Office, and other standard applications. Computer literacy, including facility with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
